Of the 22,045 people who have died from COVID-19 in Canada, I've linked 16,359 to 1551 residential facilities. I've cleaned up some unnamed cells and was able to reduce that figure ... while deaths rose by 33, thanks to more data cleaning, mostly.

As deaths fall, journalists report less on them. News from Ottawa even referenced the public health dashboard but didn't mention where the death happened (TOH). So this becomes harder, in a way, but I also have a lot more time to edit what is there.

It's just another in a long list of how white women's fear spreads real harm among racialized communities. Anyway, I'm fighting these debates where I can :/

I know we're supposed to be gentle with people who are vaccine hesitant but I don't know what it takes for someone (white, my age) to see 22,045 deaths from COVID in Canada and 0 deaths from a vaccine and still say -- I just can't risk harming my precious body.

Compared to the US, the UK and France, we killed this pandemic. But compared to so many other countries, it killed is.

Funny that deaths in residential care are not on this list. CBC's mythmaking is always amusing to me.

Who was kept safe, here? What is the purpose of a law that polices and locks up land defenders? Colonialism. That's the answer. Violent, vile, colonialism.
