    ScienceTwitter: I am teaching a freshmen seminar on "our subjective reality". Looking for recs for papers on the subjectivity of perception, cognition, social constructs (bias/stereotypes) that are easily readable for freshmen and will open their minds. Ideas? Thanks!

    This is an eggregious case of other-race bias “they all look alike” If the BBC can make this mistake with Kobe & LeBron, that gives you a sense of how common this is with normal people. This has a big impact on eye-witness identification in court cases

  20. Today I finished teaching the 1st ver of my *reward in social contexts* course, where I (try to) expose undergrads to the social cognitive neuro lit of reward processing. Overall it went well, but I seemed to have vastly overestimated their prior knowledge. You live, you learn.
