Family separation is a crisis of @POTUS's own making. The President’s Executive Order is just as heartless and shameful as his “Zero Tolerance” policy, as it further opens the door to long-term child detention.https://lowey.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/lowey-statement-trump-executive-order-family-separation …

Hi Rep. Lowey, I am one of your constituents in NY-17. Do you oppose the Republican-sponsored immigration bills on the House floor today? I called your office earlier but the clerk did not know. I hope you oppose them; we should not deport DREAMers or put families in detention.

        Your solution is Open Borders?

No one wants open borders. That’s a straw man invented by the right. But, baby internment camps are not the solution.

So what would you do with people who cross our border illegally (with or without children)? 1. Detain them until their hearing date? 2. Release them into the US until their hearing date? 3. Send them back to their home country?

All of the above depending on the circumstances. There is no one size fits all solution.

You would detain them in 'baby internment camps'? Sounds mean.

Not what I said. Said solution depends on situation. Baby internment camps are a crime against humanity.

You said all of the above. One on the choices was to detain them. So where are you going to detain them? Holiday Inn?

You said with or without children. I said all of the above depending on circumstance meaning depending on who/what/when/why/how. Done here.
