Unilateral free trade > multilateral trade treaties > bilateral trade treaties > autarky ("self-reliance").

Exactly. Why should it matter which pharmacy we use if all pharmacies can check the PDMP?

Hey peeps, more data - from Illinois this time - that the vast majority of OD deaths are from illicit drugs, and further restricting prescription opiate class pain medicine won't help.

Ah, but it does when they declare an 'emergency' or 'public health crisis'. They can strip you of whatever rights we think we possess. Therein lies the rub. Carlin had it right, they're not rights they're privileges. We KNOW the OD issue had little to do with RX opiates.

This should have, could have, been very simple. If LE was left out of the equation, informed consent the path of education re: 'opioids/pain tx, & helping those who seek tx for possible ADX issues were the Standard of Care, maybe ppl would be being helped.😔 Maybe ODs would be⬇️

How do we confront our accusers? How do we challenge an accusation like that? An accusation in a legal medical record that will color EVERY interaction I have with ANY MD for ANY condition. We don't have $ for a lawyer. So we're forced to appeal to our accusers/abusers for mercy?

Yes, I have Veteran CPPs who have left VA due to forced opioid tapers. Meanwhile, self-serving politicians promote the lie that VA is "throwing" Rx opioids at Veterans. And anybody who doesn't agree with unethical destabilizing forced opioid tapers is labeled a shill.

These pictures represent the highlight of our last year. So proud to be part of such a great team! I was honored to stand next to & while Gov Stitt signed SB848 & HB1155 which we had the honor of being part of it passing unanimously! 1 down 49 to go!

Non-medical and medical users are different populations. Punishing one doesn't help the other. It hurts both.

I just offered condolences tonight to someone who lost a military friend due to PTSD and loss of pain meds. This resulted in the obvious, they couldn't bear to live life in misery any more. On average 22 veterans a day take their lives!

A contracted consultant. That ain't pro bono work either. Any political activity that increases his income or secures his position at the detriment of millions of patients is criminal. But he's not GOP. 🙄

CPPs shouldn't be being tested AT ALL. Unless a person is CONVICTED of diverting or some other drug crime-forfeiting rights. CPPs should be trusted and treated adequately. Trust is important even for ppl w/SUD in order for them to feel comfortble seeking tx in the first place.
