30% off is pretty crazy for a Nintendo 1st Party game. But Arms itself is only worth like $15.

Hey, people who hate ARMS with a passion, genuine question for you: What reason do you have for hating it? At this point it's hard to say lack of content, because it's been filled with characters and unlockables since the game's release.
-
Gameplay? Depth of strategy? Reason to play single-player beyond Story Mode?
-
Why would you even focus on single-player in a game that's heavily focused on multiplayer though? You're just asking to be disappointed there
-
You asked “What reason?” There’s one. If you’re not into multiplayer games, no price tag is going to justify buying this unless it’s a HUGE discount.
-
No one who isn't into multiplayer games would buy a fighting game in the first place though. That's like me saying a certain rhythm game is bad just because I don't like rhythm games. I'm sure it's good, just not for me
-
I play fighting games all the time because there’s often enough single-player stuff to do that makes it worth it since I don’t have friends who would be available to play often.
-
Super smash bros for wiiu has some completely shit single player modes and if it wasint for the multiplayer part of the game nobody would buy it
-
Smash has many ways to play the game alone outside of single-player modes, though. It’s a game that doesn’t get old regardless of how much you’ve played it. Everyone constantly mentions how ARMS didn’t even last past the launch window.

I played the demo. I can see why this game didn’t do well.
-
It actually sold over 1.6 million, which is great for a new fighting game IP.
-
Sold over 1.6, but we gotta look at the active player base. No Mans Sky probably sold a lot at the beginning, same with other games that are ultimately dead/barely active today
-
For what it's worth, I'm still able to easily find matches in both Party Matches & Ranked at all times of the day (outside of Party Crashes, which have a ton of people on).

Inb4 comments saying game is dead
-
Can't be dead if it hasn't been alive
-
Yeah, it hasn't. It has plenty of people playing online everyday and sold very well for a new IP, so it's dead.
