Wouldn't it be nice if whoever is in charge of these things at Nintendo, greenlit a save data backup option for Switch?
-
Is'nt that what SD cards are for?
-
No, Switch save data is stored directly on the system itself, no other option available. Even if you use physical game cartridges, save data is on the Switch. So if your Switch breaks or is stolen/lost, any digital games can be re-downloaded, but all your saves are gone forever.
-
Wierd my switch saves my data on sd card and never saves on the system unless i remove my sd card
-
Yes, game data. Switch automatically does that if an SD card is inserted. Not your *save* data, which records all your progress. That can only be stored on the Switch system itself, without exception.
-
Cloud saving, or at the very least the option to transfer and backup save data of games on SD cards are a must. I mean even Wii U had them, and many people have already lost literally hundreds of hours of gameplay when their Switch broke or was lost/stolen.

Still miss Annie running a shop, but Flow is a nice addition.
