This actually looks like they are straight up ripping off Pokémon. There are two versions and there based off red and blue. Like the og Pokémon games

Level-5 has done 2 versions since Inazuma Eleven 2 (pictured) for the DS back in 2009 (which never arrived to the US). Even CAPCOM has done that with MegaMan.pic.twitter.com/sOlg8lpePg

And Level-5 makes the version thing very good having even different openings (and animations) // ending themes on their games rather than only showing the mascot. Also having exclusive events and matches own to the version that seem better than only spread monsters.
