Right! Ok I don't know. Why is this typical Russia?

Because it is actually military vehicle.

So a military vehical driving down the street is typical Russia? I live next to a military base...ok so it's an Australian base so the most I see is large camouflaged trucks... but is seeing extreme military equipment in a domestic setting a good thing?
-
It's combat engineering vehicle, names IMR-2, and on the photo it cleans road from snow, probably because civil road services asked military for help, and that's usual deal in Russia. In such situations I think involment of extreme mil equipment is a good thing.

I tend to agree.

This is IMR-2, combat engineering vechicle, based on T-72 tank. Ultimate thing to fight snow wreaths.
