An inspiring action by Major Fillipov Nina. A true hero. His last words are very touching & will mean so much to his brothers-in-arms. (Just wondering ... what do you mean by 'catapulting'?)pic.twitter.com/91bQk9liLH

I think the correct term is ejecting
Catapult: the verb. I apologize for my enormous vocabulary.

The verb itself is correct. Technically eject is correct in this context. Not that it really matters. It is not crucial except to those who stop at the word catapult and are mystified about its use. Eject is certainly the correct verb in this case. No biggie as they say.
Seems providing material support to terrorists (FSA) while occupying Syria illegally would constitute an apology from the US to Russia for this crime... if this isn't provocation, I don't know what is.
Many countries and groups are providing weapons. Not to mention the loads of weapons left by retreating militant groups that are then taken by the other group. Can't pin this Russian downed jet on US

You obviously didn't watch the video
I'm not saying us don't supply weapons. Just that this Russian plane takedown is not to be automatically said to be USA weapons given to terrorists
The bottom line is, if US were not there, ILLEGALLY & had not assisted FSA (terrorists) against a sovereign Syria, there would be no question. US plans for Syria are over 30 yrs old, enter more false claims of "chemical weapons" by Assad.
A brave man.
RIP hero
(1/2) Compare the Su25 Roman Filippov incident of 2018 with the U-2 SpyPlane Gary Powers incident of 1960. Both pilots baled out, both didn’t wanna be taken alive; one had the balls to pull a *grenade pin*; the other had the peanuts to defy orders and not use his *cyanide pin!*
A true hero. In a very dramatic way. Impressive.
RIP MAJ Filippov. Salute!
Wow, new version of "Sacrifice" of SU-25 pilot :-D. What is next? Avengers in bomb hole of Su-25? Maybe Su-25 was not shot down, but like all russian craps - just could not fly :-D.
