The blanket ban of Russia’s team at 2018 Olympics, which includes punishing clean athletes, had nothing to do with politics, no siree. 🤔https://twitter.com/senschumer/status/938134324792217600 …

Yet another major US politician admits that the blanket Olympic ban of Team Russia is all about Putin’s politics, not sports.https://twitter.com/mittromney/status/938145084448571392 …

By sanctioning Russia, Olympic officials place honor and integrity above money and politics. Russia under Putin is shown, once again, to place winning above the rule of law, above honesty, and above the interests of its own athletes.

Punishing Russia’s clean athletes (even if we are to accept NATOland’s accusations) by taking away symbols of patriotism (flag+country representation) speak to the real motives loud and clear.

Any "clean" Russian athlete can compete under the Olympic flag. Others (and their management) are paying the price for their industrial-scale cheating.
