Why are books considered more intrinsically wholesome than phones?

First of all a curious information, the russian people are the people in the world that read more books. Second, books are essential to get some culture and independent information and to know interesting things of all kind. I dare to ask you: what book are you reading now?

When the battery went off can you still read it? I realy prefer a good book, and it is better for my eyes. I have a lot of books and for me it is more easy to consult it and find what I want. I only use phone to make calls.

Free WiFi doesn’t necessarily mean working WiFi.... especially in Russia.

These ppl are smart - Free WiFi on Moscow train = total surveillance of one’s entire life by govt. Most native Westerners just have no capacity experientially to understand this.
