Russian Orthodox Church will stop communicating with the Constantinople patriarchate should it recognize the breakaway Kiev Church. This is serious. https://ria.ru/religion/20180908/1528098325.html …pic.twitter.com/anCiKg8WA4

This attempt to recognize the breakaway Kiev "Church" is the logical conclusion of the Washington/Brussels-backed 2014 regime change in Ukraine, where Orthodox churches are subjects of the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate. And it's affecting the entire Orthodox world.
Illegal takeovers of Russian Orthodox churches+property by other denominations, incl. the anathemized Kiev "Church," have been going on for years. This is also happening against the backdrop of the war in Donbass where dozens of Orthodox churches were fully or partially destroyed

someone said: putin should have let Ukraine join Europe; that way Russia could sell it's good to europe through Ukraine.
it is sad there would be a schism.
I don't know myself, but the Russian Orthodox church has been accused of being a puppet of the Russian state well before 1918
imho they'd need a mediation and His Beatitude @a_meluzzi could be the right choice.
The chief of the Italian Orthodox Churc is second to none :)
