Hi Mark, thanks for spotting. This was a typo: it should read ‘since 1950’ (not since 2005). We’ve changed it in our report and have been in contact with the Guardian to amend. Thanks for replying Laurie. I don't want to bang on about it, but why not use a peer-reviewed source for data on floods, heat extremes etc. The IPCC has plenty on observed climate changes in the 1.5C report. Jeremy Grantham is not a reliable source for this.
