The E.U. is going all in on heat pumps to cut gas demand. CA should do the same — starting w/ $1B for heat pumps upgrades in low income households & $1B for community building upgrades. Transitioning homes to clean energy has never been so urgent.

"While city leaders, pediatricians, health researchers, & climate advocates worked to get methane out of homes, one actor in California worked behind the scenes to sabotage the state’s progress." Clean energy adversary must be held accountable! ?

SoCalGas unlawfully used customer money to fight climate action. If fines SoCalGas $150k for "a deliberate and years-long pattern of conduct," the token fine will allow SoCalGas to justify malfeasance as part of its cost of doing business.

Putin's war in Ukraine underscores the fundamentally destabilizing nature of fossil fuels & the urgent need to accelerate the transition to clean energy in homes. The E.U. is planning front load renewable energy investments—the U.S. should do the same.

A must watch segment where documents how Republican state legislators paid off by the gas industry are stopping cities from taking action to reduce fossil fuel dependency despite their constituents suffering from the severe impacts of the climate crisis. Infuriating.

Shock. Shock. Shock. Gas prices are at the highest level in 7 years while Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell & BP made nearly $25 billion in profits last quarter – the highest level in over 7 years. The problem is not inflation. The problem is corporate greed, collusion & profiteering.
