Self diagnosis is valid. I would have never gotten my ADHD diagnosis. If I didn't first do research and self diagnosed myself. Getting an official diagnosis can take many YEARS and be very expensive. And there are often barriers to getting it. It's a privilege to get diagnosed.

My cousin had to return to in-person work, got COVID from her boss, and passed away today. She leaves behind 13-year old twin girls, a husband, a mother who will now have to bury her last surviving child, and family who will forever miss her smile. The pandemic is not over.

The Irish gender clinic is abysmal but that thing about them losing 100s of referrals? It's much worse than that even back when I attended over a decade ago. Every single person I knew who went there had their referral "lost" and trying to get in contact with them was impossible
