Free speech and extremist free speech are completely different! Giving a platform to extremist views only breeds more extremists, you only have to look at Anjem Choudary to tell you that! Can’t say I’m surprised to see you defending extremist free speech though!

No, they aren’t different. Whose definition of extreme do you use? Who gets to decide? You have to allow it all to protect your own right.
-
Oxford Dictionary? You could use Collins too but don’t think it makes much difference to be honest!
-
Hoping you’re just thinking yourself clever with your snarky comment and not misunderstanding the point.
-
In this case Facebook gets to decide. A private company. That has responsibilities to its shareholders. Clearly the bollocks that Alex Jones spouts led to problems for Facebook. Alex Jones can spout his lies elsewhere
-
Yes Facebook has the choice but that is the problem. To many follow it and only showing one side of a opinion isn't right! Change the law and break up huge company's
-
What are you talking about? One of the biggest problems with Facebook is that it allows people on the left or right to be in an echo chamber! You realise both the left and right have extremists and liars it isn’t just the far right you know!

You fucking idiot. Media outlets have an obligation to credible info. Supporting false info erodes consumer trust. Alex Jones' right to free speech is not compromised, his right to cause consumer distrust on these media platforms is. That's just capitalism. Own it.
-
good then CNN,MSNBC,ABC,ESPN ALL need to come off the air because thier lack of credibility...and again why dies a person have to resort to name calling to point across
-
No one took Alex Jones off of the government mandated airwaves. He can broadcast all he wants within FCC guidelines. Your argument is dependent on a false equivalency. If Facebook wants to pull CNN content from their site, it's their first amendment right to do so.
-
but they wont because it fits facebooks political agenda...this is a very Orwellian thing to 6
-
First, I don't believe you've read 1984. In that book no power but the government gets to have a political agenda, so when the House, the Senate, the President and the Supreme C are all conservative & you're complaining about a private company having a voice, you've got it wrong.
-
but the private company is doing what it can to promote and protect Liberal thoughts and in doing so gives them political support which leads to power...very propaganda like
-
Infowars is doing what it can to promote and protect conspiracy theories and in doing so gives them political support which leads to power This “freedom of association” things goes both ways, numbskull
-
shutting down an opposing view is censorship and if you shut down one side for something and not giving the other side a space to rebut your argument .I know hes all into conspiracy theory I'm not defending his stances,I'm against the hypocrisy of shutting down opposing rhetoric

Had a "fun" reply from someone with
#KH3 in their name. Nearly told them I'd already played some of it to annoy them. I didn't tell them. I was good. - 3 more replies
