    My 12yo is practicing her signature in order to open a saving acct and struggling A LOT. I'm fine with cursive writing being deemphasized in school, but a signature is pretty crucial.

    Yes! This.

    Instead of calling my work blocks "writing" I call them "story time". This is because even if I don't put words on the page, time spent in story world plotting or making notes or rereading is also important work. Too much emphasis on WORDS WRITTEN can be counterproductive.

    So, I have a little bit of news about my book series. Thanks to , On the Scent, Something Wicked, & Spirited Away are now available as audiobooks! You know how much I love audiobooks, so I am thrilled the series is getting new life in this way!
