Details not included in this story about LA “beating” NYC in transportation: there aren’t any safe places to ride the scooters our mayor says he likes so much, we just raised speed limits on 100 miles of streets, and traffic deaths keep going up.

It would take less than 20 Democrats in the House to stop this all-out assault on advancing a genuinely progressive agenda. There are well over 150 members of the Progressive Caucus. Their actions tomorrow will speak far louder than mere membership in the CPC.

I will be voting NO on the Rules package with . It is terrible economics. The austerians were wrong about the Great Recession and Great Depression. At some point, politicians need to learn from mistakes and read economic history.

Tomorrow I will also vote No on the rules package, which is trying to slip in . PAYGO isn’t only bad economics, as explains; it’s also a dark political maneuver designed to hamstring progress on healthcare+other leg. We shouldn’t hinder ourselves from the start.

So, a shipment of crickets for the lizard arrived via FedEx today. It was my first time ordering bulk crickets off the internet, and I naively assumed that they would be in like, a bag or some other contraption to facilitate easy transfer to another container. They were not.
