Hey twitter: Looking for essays on the evolution of patriarchy and/or responses to arguments made in Sapiens. I recall seeing several shared over the past year. Links, please? @Evolving_Moloch @SpeciesTypical @ProfDavidBuss @PsychoSchmitt

Do you mean Sapiens the book by Harari? I had some comments on it herehttps://twitter.com/whyvert/status/1194837050702225408 …

A few comments on Yuval Noah Harari's bestseller "Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind" (2014). It is short, vigorous, and engaging. Its focus on Three Big Revolutions makes for a clear overview of history. Its a simplification, but that's OK. pic.twitter.com/R9thBiGSqp

Suggestions thus far are good. One thought that comes to mind is the new book on cultural evolution of patriarchy. I’m forgetting the author. @HyperadaptHyrax any help?

This is the hardest project I ever did, and the one I'm most proud of. Now that it's out, have been meaning to write a post about the content. It looks at the emergence of unfair conventions and norms across social groups (especially gender). Chapters described below: pic.twitter.com/20M3urJOlX

Just finished the Goodness Paradox by Wrangham, he ties some of his stuff on the evolution of male proactive coalitionary aggression to the development of patriarchy.

And in one of Wrangham's interviews from last year he said he was considering the evolutionary origins of patriarchy the topic of a future book.
