PRINCIPLES TO UNDERSTAND OUR MIND: 1) Our mind is an ensemble of parallel, bottom-up processes. It cannot be described as a single top-down process, even if this is how we perceive it. 2) Our mind is not made to perceive correctly, but to act correctly.

Hmmm...I'm not sure I'd agree at all. I'd argue that, contrary, treating humans as automaticity machines has resulted in problematic theories and exaggerations of bad data in the press. See psychology's #replicationcrisis.

Theory of Mind problems can’t be solved by brute denial. Such denials would, for starters, render communication largely magical. Every utterance routinely exceeds linguistic encoding yet is perfectly sensible via contextualizing intention. Pragmatics is empirically verifiable!

Such opinion also leads to the atomization of everything (fragmentation/ overcomplexity, up to the point that nothing is ”true” and nothing can be done about anything). This type of übernihilism (Derrida, Foucault etc.) is typical for todays postmodern thinking. Cul-de-sac.

😂 the funniest thing about this is that it's spot-on. In my examinations of literary works I found everyone is rational and my experience with life is that real people often have petty reasons for doing things or no reason at all. ~ It's why reading makes people more rational.

Humans seem to have an instinctual blindspot that keeps us from acknowledging the influence of our instinct. When I think of causal behaviorism...all I can see is instinct. 😏

I'm guessing that "distortion" helps in the fabrication of fantastical Anamorphic self-imagery, in production and use.
