As a mother of 2 runners today who NEVER knew there was a “shelter in place” as they were running in thunderstorms AND a spectator who ALSO was never alerted of this, I’m highly disappointed. Please do better next time

Thinking back to April 2020 - April 2021. I didn’t diagnose a single case of influenza that winter. I only wrote a handful of antibiotic prescriptions for ear infections. Kids were IN PERSON learning where I practice. That wasn’t magic…that was masks.

Had a new patient family tell me they actually chose me BECAUSE of the false negative Google reviews from antivaxxers (that they didn’t know were false), because they thought if the only reason people didn’t like me was because I promoted vaccines, they were all in. #provaxx

I’m actually IN that first pic…in a mask…along with VIRTUALLY EVERYONE else in that room (unless we’re drinking coffee at 7:30am). The second pic is a group singing “You Will Be Found” from Dear Evan Hansen on the stage away from the rest of us who were MASKED in the room.

Vinay Prasad’s account needs to be permanently suspended. Attending a conference of fully vaccinated + boosted individuals who’ve taken negative COVID tests within 24 hours of attendance is much different than not masking in clinical or high risk settings.
