    This is the first court of appeals decision to address the proper classification of gig-economy workers under the FLSA. Under this ruling, it is difficult to imagine how Uber and other gig companies can avoid trial on any of their workers’ misclassification claims.

    Our clients are UberBLACK drivers in Philadelphia. They challenged Uber's classification of them as independent contractors (rather than employees), which denies them a minimum wage and other protections to which they're entitled under federal and state law.

    This morning, the Third Circuit issued a significant decision against Uber in one of our firm's cases—vacating a district court ruling that certain Uber drivers were independent contractors, not employees. It's a big win for Uber drivers and gig-economy workers throughout the US.

    I’m not voting for any judges that were DAs. That means they worked for Jackie Lacey and may have been complicit in the non-prosecution of murderous cops. I WILL BE VOTING . Caree Harper was one of the first attorneys to represent BLMLA protestors pro bono.
