      Aztecs took gold tribute from their subject tribes. Spanish conquistadors looted the Aztecs. Sir Francis Drake looted Spanish galleons. Seizing gold vaults was a universal war objective.       That is truth, but also if a king of Spain ruins its currency reputation, you take your gold and go to England. If your digital currency reputation gets ruined what do you do?

          Truth. Also if gold exchange company in Madrid cheated, it had close to 0 impact on gold in London. If exchange company cheats on the digital currency it does have an impact. So there is a trust and reputation, even though minimized. More than a gold.
