1/ This accepts the Luke Jr Interpretation of Hard Fork, which is to say BCash is "alt coin", same as Ripple. I may disagree. I say Bitcoin is Majority Hard Fork, or Sourced, Unaltered History of Bitcoin Code of highest value (market value practically speaking).

2/ I consider Bcash (et al) to be Minority "Hard Fork", Or 'not Bitcoin'. All others "alt coins" Should 'Hard Fork', consistently exceed Bitcoin 'value', then I'd reverse roles (personally). This may be my bias, but disparaging Bcash same as Ripple seems clumsy & punkish ;P <3

More important than the code that runs a cryptocurrency network are the values of it's users and developers. The values are the real programming language of a cryptocurrency network. They are what ultimately decides the consensus rules for the system.

There is certainly value in that. I happen to think that there’s also value in those rare/exceptional cases where a highly talented and trustworthy benevolent dictator is working on your behalf (e.g. Singapore under Lee Kwan Yew).
