An economist or programmer who hadn't studied much computer science, including cryptography, but guesses about it, cannot design or build a long-term successful cryptocurrency. A computer scientist and programmer who hasn't studied much economics, but applies common sense, can.

Probably wouldn't do worse than the typical economist, anyway.

This is because good economics is much less complicated than the work of generations of court intellectuals have made it appear. Shocking, but it turns out theft isn’t good for human flourishing 😬https://mises.org/library/man-economy-and-state-power-and-market …

        - I can still go to market and buy things instead of ordering them online. - I can still write a letter and send it by post. - I can still read newspaper in paper form. - I can still record on tape and watch it later ... Do you see some pattern?

lile computer sc, economic&business common sense is very difficult to obtain. it cannot be acquired by studying alone. it should need a accurate understanding, creativity, rationalism at the same time. much harder than study computer sc

so many crypto fans overly deify cs genius so that a smart geek with common sense can design and lead the changes of the world. I think leaders in cryptoworld also need exceptional qualities of skills that most standard human leaders have. there is a great misunderstanding.

I strongly disagree. If you underestimate the importance of game theory, you're gonna get burned, no matter your cryptographic skills.

Which is more likely: 1) Satoshi is a cryptographer who applied common sense to create the incentive structure of Bitcoin 2) Satoshi is an economist who read up on cryptography to create Bitcoin
