Man, I just wanted to thank you for all the work that you have done in the crypto world. The amount of wealth that is gonna be created because of your work is beyond words. The poorest are gonna be the ones that will be the ones that will benefit the most. Thank you

Or a "rational actors" layer that you could analyze with game theory. And a "behavioral" layer that depends on human psychology.

Oh, I think I veered from your point a bit. But technology gives the poorest (and history demonstrates this imo) a vastly greater diff in living standards than the wealthy. Wealthy life is impacted far less by intro of cellphones than life of someone who cant find clean water.

Globalization has been helping the poorest as well as technology. Governments have a monopoly over money. With crypto there is no more monopoly. People are fee to choose their own currency that is not gonna be printed by their irresponsible government
-
The same is true for debt. Money will be “cheaper” for the poorest

1/ What's the purpose of evenly distributing wealth just for the sake of "evenness?" Wouldn't the goal of society to be ensure wealth is allocated to the most productive and useful of our endeavors so that society can grow the fastest, therefore making everyone better?
-
2/ If an economy is changing, then wealth has to shift. Its like wanting to change the tide, but not wanting there to be any waves. It's just impossible.

-
3/ My point is, If Elon Musk can build a rocket that can take me to the moon (something that I simply cant or am not interested in doing), it is a *good* thing that people have voluntarily allocated more wealth into his endeavors than mine.

Interesting how natural gas reserves enumerate into these two types.

Technology works to create underlying productive floors that are constantly being risen. Inequality is always present as a consequence people being different. But technology has made, and continuously makes, everyone's lives far better. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jbkSRLYSojo …

lol, it was an analogy. But yes I misconstrued your point, I thought you were arguing wealth inequality was bad, but your point was that crypto won't help the poor as much as the rich. Also a point I disagree with, but still a different claim than the one i was arguing against

I think the barriers to wealth movement and liberty to trade is far more restricting for the poor. The wealthy don't experience 1/100th of the impact of economic barriers that the poor do. Crypto has the potential to break down many conventional trade barriers.

1/ This is about the comparable lifestyles with or without new technology. The poorest who cant find clean water, given access to a cellphone, may take life expectancy from 40-50. A Billionaire already has best lifestyle possible, being a Trillionaire barely changes anything.
-
2/ Even a tiny improvement could represent 2x or 5x the amount available to someone who makes pennies. Demonstrated by comparing lifestyles of American poor, with poor in Congo or similar. Like night and day. This is due to freer trade and economic access.
-
3/ Bitcoin helps to break down the walls that keep them from being able to build their way out of poverty. Access to an uncensorable sound money and even slightly more free trade could be a situation of life or death in poorest places.
