Either decentralized crypto currencies reach mass adoption before gov issued or sponsored centralized ones do or we are all screwed. It's everyone's duty to own Bitcoin.

Yes, it is scary. Funds halted/frozen on "suspicion" of being ill gotten gains. No evidence, No proof, No substantiated facts. Certainly concerning for the average citizen with no ill intent or tax impropriety just wanting to move THEIR wealth.
