You're the closest thing I've ever seen to a third generation vegan. Were your great grandparents vegan? And is this strict veganism, or, like Indian veganism, includes tons of dairy & animal products?

East Asians are lactose intolerant, so dairy isn't really a thing over there. Most people were vegan throughout post-agricultural history! only rich ppl could afford meat.

Are you sure of that? From my understanding it seems pork meat & fat have always been around. Sure some people could not afford much, but do you have evidence generations survived without it?

About India- I believe they had an _immense_ insect contamination of foodstuff, allowing them to survive their "vegetarianism". Wonder if China had a similar phenomena?

i don't think vegan/vegetarian nutritional deficiencies are enough to cause people to die off; the population is just slower and weaker.

Grain eaters got beat up a lot by carnivores & milk drinkers (e.g. later Romans by Germans, Huns, & Arabs; Christians by Vikings; Chinese, Iranians, Indians, & Eastern Romans by Turks & Mongols). Better protein of pastoralists made up for much greater numbers of grain eaters.

Nonsense. Much easier for farmers to acquire wealth through stationary capital accumulation, which is why sedentary societies won out in the long run. Only edge pastoralists have is in nutrition, intelligence & ability to move quickly.

only after the farmers acquired guns so they could defend their property. prior to that, they repeatedly got their asses kicked by the high-protein pastoralists.
