Proves only that cannot have all of CAP with absolute certainty. Does not show one cannot achieve with astronomically high probability.
Cryptographic and most practical consensus protocols are based on doing things with astronomically high probability not with certainty.

Algorithms can solve many problems with asymptotically high probability that are provably impossible to solve with absolute certainty.
