Every science begins with a classification. (John Austin)

We actually have a very good science called computer science. People should try learning it before spouting off about blockchains.
-
"computer science" makes as much sense to me as "math science". What part tests theories against observation to refine the theories?
-
Agreed. Apart from the tiny part of CS dealing with computation in Nature, CS is not science. Much of it is also not Engineering either. 1/2

2/2 Eg, Conceptual & logic models of programming language paradigms (eg, OOP, AOSE). Perhaps best understood as Applied Philosophy.
-
Awesome. But to extent the paradigms only facilitate efficient use, maybe it is info-engineering.
-
They do more than just increase efficiency: they also open up possibilities for different uses, applns. Both OOP & AOSE have done this.
