Which thought process, though, suppresses the need to reconcile two opposing beliefs (or to suppress either) and allows further thinking?

The only reason to hold 2 different beliefs about the same concept is to believe that such representation is stabler/truer than a single one

ie QT requires the belief that (sometimes) a representation with a low certainty is more certain than a representation with a high certainty
