There must be many of you who are sick&tired of the constant bickering over the Bitcoin max blocksize, a simple parameter selection problem.

Misleading analogy. Reactors are governed by complex differential equations, and the design envelope is difficult to navigate.

Meh difficult for a non physicist I guess
In theo phys we deal with slightly harder issues -
So you're saying it's a simple parameter selection problem?
-
The reason its non trivial is the collateral damage of getting it wrong can be huge (much the same with BTC)
-
Any data around that assertion? $20B is peanuts for finance, the centralization effect of modest block size increase is at best third order.
