kind of depressing being right while many just dont quite get it. more written materials probably needed on basics of why blockchains work.
In everybody's defense, the comp sci is hard. No definitive paper on the topic has been written. It's a desperately needed work in progress.

Real bitcoin development projects could easily and should be PhD thesis projects at a minimum. Design, simulation, dev, testing, publication

Or equivalent in research, knowledge, work, scientific approach and peer review.
