        @NickSzabo4 +1, but, IDs r unavoidable. Humans like 'em. Nexus points spontaneously arise anyway. If unavoidable, req. best effort security.

        @jgarzik IDs >> costs & < security. Bitcoin shows don't need them to issue or pay. TM blockchain will allow us to do much else w/o IDs.

        @NickSzabo4 @jgarzik IDs are bad proxy for dispute resolution. Concentrate on the real issue; either get rid of disputes or make them easy

        @NickSzabo4 Nakamoto consensus is applicable to the General's Problem though the Dissident's Problem can be solved w/ one-way confirmations.
