On-chain pools bring additional trust-minimization properties to cash distributions above doing a bunch of simple 1-to-1 payments. For example prevents payor from discriminating between payees: once sufficient funds are in the pool everybody gets their cash flow.

This is probably a more important idea than non-cryptocurrency tokens themselves, which merely represent a hoped-for, fully trust-based cash flow or provision of service. But the valuable idea here is not utopian "organizations" -- it is trust-minimized pools and cash flows.

Yet another thread about trust-minimized code derailed by a hoard of governance zombies.

New policy thru Halloween: if you so much as mention the word "governance" on my timeline, you will be blocked. Judging by recent traffic it will be a copious zombie slaughter fest.pic.twitter.com/lgNFnJoLUr

#Dash has a fully-functioning DAO, complete with decentralized voting, issuance, and a legal entity owned by the network to interface with the legacy system.https://blog.dash.org/announcing-the-dash-dao-irrevocable-trust-election-results-bfe134c113b0 … -

Some of the *ideas* in Ethereum have real merit. Now if someone could figure out how to execute them. Perhaps layer 2 Bitcoin.
-
Which ideas? I have a hard time finding them.

Do you mostly follow Bitcoiners? That might have something to do with it... For decent knowledge bundles check out https://weekinethereumnews.com by

Before people listen to any ideas I suggest they try to sync a full Ethereum node at home. If a user can't do that, there's no purpose in using the blockchain. The idea won't work because the user can't validate transactions himself. Infura is a 3rd party.

Everyone can It’s not hard

That's so painfully dishonest that I'm not even going to debate it, other than let people judge for themselves: https://twitter.com/ercwl/status/1159940020331040770 … If you have any mental gymnastics to explain it away, please direct them to
@udiWertheimer, who seems to have the energy to deal with it. -
You should really scroll down a little further in that thread you linked too

Bitcoin's 10 year old blockchain can be synced in 24 hours. Ethereum's 4 year old blockchain might be able to be synced in 25 days.

Sir Szabo, what's your take on capital based governance? Do you think it's really a viable solution towards quantifying governing power, I myself think it's phase 0.https://twitter.com/xGozzy/status/1173134215648546816 …

Stay on topic when replying to my tweets or you will be blocked.

This is related to DAO's so I don't see the problem, regardless I'm speaking in relation to staking ETH in order to quantifying governing power. Trying to engage in a healthy but constructive debate, I hope you are having a wonderful day sir.

The topic is trust-minimized pools and cash flows, which you've mentioned nothing of. Blocked.
