Maybe it's just us, but yes, this does happen. My kids are in preschool, and we haven't met many of the parents yet. Our kids are friends, so they get invited, and we end up meeting at parties.
Still quite different from giving your children's birthday cake to random strangers who just happen to live in the same country, the situation actually analogous to the OP.
Yes
Giving money for an universal healthcare can mean you'll get 110% of you birtday cake one day.
Everyone can't get 110%, nice try though!
If 10 people in a birthday club cut their cakes into 10 slices each, it would take 10 of those birthdays to eat a whole cake and if 10 percent of just those people didn't want a slice any given day, someone is getting 110% of a cake.
So if all 10 people can afford a cake why don’t they just buy cake when they want it? And correct, in socialism if a portion of the population is under consuming then others can over consume at their expense. What if 3 people wanted 2 slices for a cake that week? Print more cakes
We are socialists we can print anything! Print more money, print more cancer drugs, print more doctors and nurses. It's Modern Medical Theory; get with the program!
Print it? No. Appropriate cake taxes to those who have freezers full of cakes they'll never eat and get more than that each year. Especially when they promised that excess would go to their employees but they kept it.
that is usually the marginal bit of information knee jerk socialists miss...and avoid to mislead everyone else
We have always had to pay taxes. That's money to strangers all the time. At least I'd feel better about paying for healthcare over golf.
