PSA: Lord Kelvin never said anything like "There is nothing new to be discovered in physics now. All that remains is more and more precise measurement." That is a myth. Michelson did said something like this in 1894.

Albert A. Michelson, the same. The irony increases when you realize that the Michelson-Morley experiment was done in 1887, seven years *before* the statement. Clearly, Michelson did not realize that his experiment implied anything like relativity.
