Re-org depends on perspective no? Under "code is law" Bitcoin nodes are expected to follow the chain with the most work, even if the longer chain appears after a day. Anything else would be an active act of social governance.

What are your thoughts on ETC?
-
I'm not ready to come out yet, not until the community proven itself to still be resilient to the social takeover of github by a private company.
-
ETC isn't github
-
I know it's not, I meant the etc github account take overhttps://www.coindesk.com/resisting-the-threat-of-blockchain-recentralization …
-
Github is a private company
-
Take over of Etc's account on github, happy now?
-
Yes, Github is a private company, and Git is a Distributed Version Control tool used to store different versions of a file in a remote or local repository and track changes in the source code. The /ETHProject repo was a public ETC org run by many, who were all removed by ETCLabs.
-
I know but I don't even have a github account so my vocab is limited but they know exactly what I'm talking about.

Are there any projects you are genuinely excited and optimistic about, outside of Bitcoin and Monero? Specifically when it comes to smart contracts, as you see them.

I don’t think there’s Ethereum leadership per se, but your take on: “poor understanding of governance and trust minimization”, would be incredibly useful.

Pardon me if I sound stupid, but isn't every state change on the Ethereum blockchain ran simultaneously by every miner before being immutably recorded to its blockchain? Or are you referring to some
$ETH 2.0 change I haven't read into yet? Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

In practice I think you're right that some form of community governance will happen in that situation if the situation is catastrophic and a large enough percentage of the community is affected.
