For sure that was no market campaign but I still wonder why so often monero is the only exception to maximalists rule of never saying anything remotely positive about an altcoin.
Speaking for myself, I'm not a Bitcoin maximalist, but I and many others who have been given that rubric tend to be trust minimalists, i.e. tend to favor assets that reduce our vulnerability to strangers. Privacy is another good way of doing that.
Crypto attracted tons of entrepreneurs & investors who didn't understand that trust minimization is what most makes crypto assets unique & valuable. They built & bought hundreds of alts more vulnerable to politics than Bitcoin & a very few others. Last c. 2 years selling.
