      There weren't even thirteen colonies in 1619. There was, however, slavery in almost every part of the world: nothing unique about North America in that regard.

      Mass importation of slaves wasn’t unique, but was quite unusual. How many other countries had a sizable percentage of their population come from importing and enslaving people?

      Spain Portugal France and England likely had more slaves, just not imported.

      nope! The entire time Wilberforce was fighting slavery, for pretty much his entire life, there werent slaves in England. Cortez killed millions in South America the Dutch, Portugal & England had all kinds of slaves in the Indies, Africa etc. England had slaves in Ireland.

      they - they were indigenous slaves. sometimes blacks in Sierra Lione and other places captured other blacks and made them slaves at home. Similar things happened in the east as well.

      Sure. But it's not common to be enslaved by your peers... Or family or friends... Otherwise, why didn't the colons enslaved the native Americans?

      not sure but until Andrew Jackson & the invention of the colt revolver used by Texas Rangers, enslaving indians was not that easy - on horseback they were were much better fighters, able to fire many more arrows than a musket. when they did get defeated it was often from disease
