@NickSzabo4 Do you have any vision for open source and additional divisions of labor for software that can be backed by a blockchain? Your essay on social scalability is a tease for what this could be. Curious if further thoughts on this have developed?
I have thought quite a bit more about smart contracts which I hope to publish more on some day.

Looking forward to it. I think the time for this is almost near, though may require some further adoption of smart contracts as abstractions amongst the more popular web dev languages to take off.

Have you been paying attention to npm? A former exec has teased a federated javsacript package manager that could probably benefit from a system that allows attributed authors to be paid for their services via a means that is trustless. The need and desire are there.
