Also battleships should launch float planes in order to stay a step ahead of aircraft carriers.
BitBay has a dynamic supply because satoshis are in an array instead of a single integer. Thus making a variable liquidity system of liquid/reserve coins that change in ratio by force. No hyper-inflation, no backing, no short/long/credit. Users keep custody of reserve coins too.
Security characteristics... meaning decentralization or POW backed immutability? Because there is a coin in existence that has both decentralization and dynamic supply qualities... (and not erc20)
friendly reminder that Libra is the world's most ingeniously evil hedge fund. hardly surprising people don't want to be associated with it.https://medium.com/swlh/money-banking-bitcoin-libra-191183d5e825 …
In other news, Facebook just banned The Epoch Times from advertising on their platform.

Do you believe the governments have enough developers left to hire to work on their virtual reserve currency? Or is the majority of the grey matter in bitcoin & co?
what took them so long?
There is no such thing as a reliably stable instrument anyway- A stable coin is better understood as the assurance of worth assigned to some product of collateralization... or whatever. :)
...or perhaps that coin is just bitcoin in the future. The longer bitcoin goes without dying, the less likely it is that it ever does (Lindy Effect). The more confidence there is in Bitcoin's survival, the higher its valuation and the less wild its swings in price.
The longer bitcoin goes without dying --> the more stable it will be --> the more usable it will be as a currency
It’s the uncensorability that’s so fascinating. The massive distribution of risk of seizure (for the well designed). For the first time technology has outpaced sci-fi writers (or has it? Was there any fiction on this before now?)
I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on @reserveprotocol
They are aiming to be a truly decentralised stable coin. This is not a shill, I genuinely interested in your thoughts
