The good news is "Bitcoin is for enemies" -- Anton can't stop me from using it and I can't stop him. Unlike my grandparents' farm, with good key management no thugs of either communist or fascist persuasion can take Bitcoin property. (ht

I wonder how many people will be tortured for their private keys?

Use multisig, develop decades-long close relationships.
-
Wouldn't multisig security by obscurity be superior to relying on other people?
-
Both are good, but remember we all die, it needs to be in a form your heirs can securely recover.

That's so important. A way your Heirs can securely open and retrieve our wealth. So many stories of lost BTC. Security and Safety should be a top priority for us and our Heirs.

Same. My family had to flee Greece, had their property lifted, and I still try to not hold grudges.

Many of us are triggered by communists who call themselves "anti-fascists" for extremely good reasons. They ruined dozens of economies. They killed over a hundred million people, and my father witnessed some of those.

My wife is an immigrant originally from China. Her grandfather sometimes wakes up screaming from nightmares remembering the Mao era. Before I met her, I had only read about the horrors of communism.

tens of thousands of Chinese came to the west coast as refugees after having their land stolen and families murdered by communists. Americans don't know this, because chinese ppl don't feel a constant need to remind others of their victimhood.
