This is a strange argument because it seems to be explicitly stating that mass migration is a form of charity provided by successful nations to the people of unsuccessful nations The thing is, charity is by definition voluntary. When it is made involuntary, it becomes malevolenthttps://twitter.com/BillKristol/status/1161274206786641923 …

By Andrew Yang's own pro-immigrant figures, the average immigrant contributes (at absolute most, mayb much less) 80% as much taxes as the average native citizen. Even as they consume 170% as much welfare. And this is including all of the immigrant CEO-barons like Musk, Thiel, etc

The math is right here, I did it myself, and the welfare numbers are easy to look uphttps://twitter.com/17cShyteposter/status/1157521204304941056 …

17thCenturyShytePost @17cShyteposterFederal tax revenues alone in 2014 were $3.02 trillion. So despite the fact legal immigrants made up 13+% of the 2014 US population, their total contribution, including state + local, was equivalent to just 10.8% of federal tax revenues? Haven’t you forgotten comparative advantage? Consider Robinson Crusoe & Friday. RC may be better at everything than Friday, and Friday may eat more than he produces, but if by specialising RC becomes more productive, both benefit.

This assumes voluntary transactions. The thread is talking about taxes and welfare.

How do taxes & welfare change the result? The productivity increase of RC is unknown - if sufficently high it will overcome any negative fiscal contribution from Friday, won’t it? We’re left with the tricky task (given the unknowable counterfactual) of estimating RC’s increase.

Friday is stealing from RC, moron. Blocked.
