"National conservatism" is un-American. The USA was founded on the Enlightenment principle of the social contract, not the empowerment through government of a race, religion, or culture.https://nyti.ms/2Ylc59V
There was far more of value in the USA's founding than this piece of awful philosophy. If you are going to use stretched legal metaphors for the Constitution or to the federal government it defines, it was much closer to a treaty or a property deed than a contract.

And he makes zero mention of the way that a gigantic social bureaucracy pits citizens against immigrants. The bureaucracy should shoulder that blame, not the people affected.
