There is an FBI database that shows the race of the offender according to the victim and these match pretty well with arrest rates, even for black-on-black crime (which is most).

But I agree you are repeating the standard argument against this data as if I would have said or agreed with it. My gut says if you had both convictions and allegations you’d see the same trend and conviction rates are probably not too different. Data is data.
