Still better than Eth where the founders unilaterally reverse transactions and cryptokitties break the network.

The use cases and focus of ETH are very different that BTC. I didnt' like the transaction reversals. But think...outside of the box of - WAY more production uses case have been built on ETH (beyond payments) that BTC. I like both very much. But don't be so narrow minded.

Money is best when its pure. Trying to build apps and bullshit on the same protocol layer as your money gives you bad apps and bad money. The “intrinsic use” theory of money is junk and the same argument that goldbugs make. Its close minded to think money needs alternative uses

I don't think that. Your premise is completely off here. I don't really care about the money value of BTC or other crypos. I'm much more interested in the value that the blockchain tech brings. NOTE: Blockchain was around way before Satoshi.

He's talking about multiple copies of databases. Yes, they did exist. Those blockchains have proven to be worthless without proper PoW algortihm and a decentralized nature of validation. These people talking about "blockchain" don't know what the fuck they're even talking about.

Multiple copies of databases is simply known as Distributed Databases. Which are simply based on Distributed Networks... That's all that means, and is like 1/25th the special system aspects that made Bitcoin unique at the time of launch

Where are the txs & blocks (collections of txs) in Haber's work? My 1998 security property titles also built on Merkle & Haber, with a Byzantine consensus tx system, not merely a replicated database, & applied it for the first time to assets & money: https://unenumerated.blogspot.com/2012/07/pascals-scams.html …
