Great explanation of why the Fischer-Lynch-Patterson impossibility theorem & the "CAP theorem" in distributed computing don't apply to probabilistic systems (for example blockchains). POW has amazing partition resilience in terms of the CAP theorem and is even more astounding in lack of needed communication when viewed in terms of the trade-off triangle. To say they do not apply is to not understand how astounding POW is.
