      Wouldn’t it be more effective to put resources behind @NickSzabo4 ‘s radio relay efforts? Ad-Hoc mesh bitcoin radios? A pi plus solar panel and USB SDR. A lot lower barrier for entry and harder to censor.

      They are more complementary than competitive. Satellite for the bulk data, direct radio for small messages.

          You need to be able to send data also, and radio is lower setup cost, and more mesh/p2p compatible. Do both!

          I’m imagining that if they declare war on bitcoin, the satellite contract will be stopped before they even effectively prevent internet connections. So I’m wondering if it’s possible to build a low cost, solar powered battery based radio nodes at long distance (250 mile) mesh
