What will the people in the Philippines do with $BTC right now anyways? They'd have to pay fee's to convert it. This is so one-sided.
I thought I spotted an interesting observation or two buried deep within this thread, but I had to wade through so much "I want a free pony, they won't give me a free pony!" crap I've forgotten what they were.

Worse, it's non-specific. I didn't see any numbers evidencing to what extent fees are high compared to the value of his remittances, just handwaving. It sounded like it was written by an altcoin marketing department not by a real businessman.
